February 29, March 1 & 2

The Signal with Pat Carrabré- Friday February 29, 2008
This weekend the Signal is Alberta bound, rich in oil and rich in music. Pat will spin the latest music from Edmonton’s Cadence Weapon and then head south for Calgary’s the Agnostic Mountain Gospel Choir. Pat will dip into Albertan composer Allan Bell’s life-work and the third hour features a concert from the complicated Chad Van Gaalen. Feeling lucky tonight? The Loot Bag offers up prizes care of Calgary’s Saved By Radio record label featuring The Summerlads.

The Signal with Pat Carrabré- Saturday March 1, 2008

The high protein diet of the Signal’s all Albertan weekend continues tonight when Pat samples multiple tracks from the latest Kara Keith ep. The genius of Edmonton electronic wizard Mark Templeton is explored and our concert tonight features Cellist SHAUNA ROLSTON and pianist HEATHER SCHMIDT.

The Signal with Pat Carrabré- Sunday March 2, 2008
This evening Pat goes out for one final round up as the Signal’s all Albertan weekend comes to a close. Tonight’s concert is from the Edmonton Composers Society and Western Canadian Music awards featuring work from composers Allan Gilliland, Allan Gordon Bell, George Andrix and more. Pat will also wrangle music from Falconhawk and hog-tie composer David Eagle’s piece Soundplay.
